Congrats Graduates and Award Winners!

On May 14, as the University at Buffalo buzzed with commencement activities, the Department of Anthropology held its annual Commencement and Award Celebration to recognize the achievements of undergradaute and graduate students.

Emeritus Faculty Honored

David Banks and Ann McElroy, cultural anthropologists, were both honored upon retirement for their many years of service and dedication to their colleagues and students in the department. We wish them the best as they enjoy their retirements.

Laura Harrison is recognized by Donald Pollock for conferring her doctoral degree. Harrison's dissertation is titled, “Living Spaces: Urbanism as a Social Process at Seyitomer Hoyuk in Early Bronze Age Western Anatolia."
