Career Service Awards

The purpose of the Career Service Awards is to recognize UB students who are doing exceptional work as student employees and interns.  Four distinct awards are given out to the top student intern and employees working on and off campus.

  • Top Intern of the Year (on campus)
  • Top Intern of the Year (off campus)
  • Top Student Employee of the Year (on campus)
  • Top Student Employee of the Year (off campus)

Award Eligibility

  • Current undergraduate or graduate students who have worked a minimum of 3 months during the academic year.
  • Students/interns working off campus in a variety of industries/organizations or may be working on campus as a student assistant or as a federal college work-study participant.

Award Selection

The Career Services Awards selection committee will evaluate each student on the following criteria: reliability, quality of work, initiative, disposition, and overall contribution to the employer.

Criteria for this award were established by the Northeast Association of Student Employment Administrators, a regional group as part of the National Student Employment Association.

Recognition Event

All award nominees and their supervisors will be invited to attend an Awards Reception in the spring.
