Be Fit & Have Fun

When you live on campus you’ll enjoy modern fitness centers, free personal training and classes. You’ll appreciate a total fitness program, thanks to our established relationships with UB’s School of Public Health and Health Professions and Wellness Education Services. And you’ll experience the natural outdoor beauty of our campuses.

Fitness Centers Exclusively for You

All of our residence hall complexes are equipped with fitness centers exclusively for students who live on campus. Here, you'll find:

  • Treadmills
  • Cross-trainers
  • Steppers
  • Stationary bikes
  • Rowing machines
  • Free weights
  • Personal training
  • Group fitness classes (toning, self-defense, martial arts and others)

As a UB student, you also have access to campus fitness and recreation centers including Alumni Arena and Clark Hall. Through UB’s athletics department, you can take fitness classes, participate in intramural sports and much more.

Get Out & Play—All Year Round

UB’s abundant green spaces include:

  • Lake LaSalle
  • Letchworth Woods
  • Bizer Creek

Whether you want to go for a nature hike, play disc golf with your friends or just relax by the lake, you’ll find everything you’re looking for right here on campus. You can even rent equipment (including basketballs, Frisbees, volleyball nets and bicycles) for the day.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can learn outdoor survival skills, go on trips and even rent outdoor gear through the Outdoor Pursuits program.
