BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo S-Miles to Go dental van will provide no cost dental care to people of all ages in the Western New York community through Oct. 30.

The program is provided through a partnership between the UB School of Dental Medicine, Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, Delta Dental, Seneca-Babcock Community Association, Westminster Community Charter School and Buffalo Promise Neighborhood.

UB Dental faculty, staff and students will perform a range of services, including exams, cleanings, fillings, sealants, fluoride treatments and extractions.

No cost dental care is available for uninsured patients. Dental insurances are accepted as payment in full.

UB Dental is following all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations regarding COVID-19.

Services are available now through Oct. 9 at the Hennepin Community Center, 24 Ludington St. in Buffalo.

From Oct. 13-30, care will be available at the Westminster Community Charter School, 24 Westminster Ave. in Buffalo.

The S-Miles to Go dental van is a 42-foot-long, three-chair dental clinic outfitted with an X-ray imaging machine, a sanitization center and more. The clinic has served the community for more than 15 years, providing more than 38,000 patient visits.

The mobile dental van provides crucial dental care to thousands of people in underserved communities each year, addressing oral health needs that may otherwise remain unmet, particularly among children, seniors and veterans. The van also serves as an opportunity to train dental students.
