Monique E. Emdin Memorial Award

This fund recognizes Law School seniors who are in groups traditionally under-represented in the legal profession.

At UB, we strive to attract qualified students from all walks of life. We believe, fervently, that an equal and fair judicial system must reflect the full range of cultures, beliefs and voices of our democracy.

This fund supports an award given to one or more Law School graduating seniors who are members of groups traditionally under-represented in the legal profession and who demonstrate a commitment to community service, including significant contributions to the Law School through involvement in student groups.

The award memorializes Monique E. Emdin, a graduate of the School of Law’s Class of 2007, a former associate at Hiscock & Barclay LLP, and a dedicated member of the Bethesda World Harvest International Church.

The fund was established in 2009 by Barclay Damon LLP and the Bethesda World Harvest International Church in her memory.

As we build on the success of the historic Campaign for UB Law, we strive to keep law school and transformative opportunities within reach, align educational experiences with the demands of a shifting legal landscape and continue to attract exceptional faculty and fuel new innovations. With your help, we look forward to preparing the next generation of extraordinary law students who will make a bold impact, here and around the globe.
