Buffalo Center for Social Research Fund

This fund supports the Buffalo Center for Social Research, which facilitates social work faculty and graduate students’ research programs.

The Buffalo Center for Social Research provides assistance in securing extramural support for their scholarly, research, teaching and community service activities through individual, collaborative and interdisciplinary grant proposal submissions. Their mission is to facilitate the discovery and advancement of social work knowledge through community partnerships and interdisciplinary research, with a commitment to dissemination of findings and technology transfer.

This fund was established in 2007 by consolidating the School of Social Work Research Center Fund and the School of Social Work Starter and Pilot fund for research. Dr. Thomas H. Nochajski, UB School of Social Work faculty member, helped establish this fund.

At UB Social Work, we’re deeply committed to helping people and societies unlock—and expand—their potential. We’re also committed to expanding our own potential, to being the best and most innovative we can be. To achieve all that, we seek your support. A generous gift from you is seed money that will grow an innovative, collaborative and effective new generation of social workers; fund breakthroughs in social work, social innovation and social-work education; and yield incalculable returns in the form of healthy, humane and sustainable societies.
