CAS Student Emergency Fund

Make an immediate, tangible impact on students in need by supporting this fund.

When you make a gift to the College of Arts and Sciences student emergency fund, you provide much-needed relief for students—and you help our community remain strong.

Some of UB’s most vulnerable students—those who rely on the university for food, income or housing—lack the resources that are critical to getting them through these difficult circumstances. Now you can support them through this student emergency fund, which provides limited financial assitance to students who encounter an emergency situation or unforeseen expenses.

Emergencies involve circumstances which are beyond the student’s control, including a death in the family, accident, loss of property, loss of income or unanticipated educational expenses. These funds offer temporary financial assistance for immediate and current emergency situations. The student emergency fund is designated to off-set short-term financial need and is not intended to replace or supplement financial aid or scholarships.
