Encouraging Entrepreneurship

Helping Students Blaze New Paths

Entrepreneurs lead the way, and at UB, we’re taking the lead in encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit in all of our students. By providing opportunities for students to take risks during their time at UB, we help ensure that they are even better prepared to apply their knowledge and focus their immense potential as they set out to change the world.

Here Is How We Start Something Great

Inventing a new product takes insight. Starting a business takes confidence. Reimagining the way the world works takes creativity. At UB, these are the skills that we teach—in the classroom, and through experiential opportunities throughout the university—as we encourage students and faculty alike to take bold steps.

At UB, we believe that innovation comes from every discipline, from business administration to medicine, from engineering to the arts. We already have a proven ecosystem to support entrepreneurship and start-ups, including Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars, the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the famed Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition. Now, with your support, we will continue to strengthen our economy and encourage our students to embrace entrepreneurship.
