The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has bold plans for education, clinical care and research.
What would those first medical students, from 1847, think if they visited the new medical school building today?
They certainly would be awed by this breathtaking building. And they would appreciate UB’s commitment, from the start, to cultivating exceptionally well-trained, civic-minded physicians dedicated to delivering the best care in the world.
Doors to the new building opened to students and faculty in January. Explore this incredible new space on the downtown campus.
Tremendous public and private support helped construct this new building. UB raised some $50 million in private funds to support this construction project. More than $200 million in donor commitments are fueling the school’s campaign.
But we’re not stopping. As the Boldly Buffalo campaign continues, support is needed for student scholarships, endowed faculty positions, new equipment for classrooms and labs, and special initiatives that put our students and residents to work in the communities we serve.
Today, the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has a beautiful new building. And it has even bolder plans for education, clinical care and research in the years to come.
