National Assessment of Service and Community Engagement Roundtable
The Siena College Research Institute, in conjunction with New York Campus Compact, would like to invite you to participate in the National Assessment of Service and Community Engagement (NASCE) during the 2013-2014 academic year. In an effort to help colleges and universities carry out their missions to not only educate students but graduate active, responsible citizens, the NASCE is a web-based survey for undergraduates that measures an institution’s overall community impact by evaluating the rate, frequency, and depth of student community service activities across 9 areas of need. The NASCE offers institutions the opportunity to explore and understand the community service engaged in by their students as well as the institutional structures that support and facilitate the enhancement of student community engagement on campus. To date, the assessment has been administered at more than 50 institutions of higher education, generating a dataset of 27,000 undergraduate students and counting. You are invited to a presentation and roundtable Wednesday October 16th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the University at Buffalo in Allen Hall Room 100. This event is presented by New York Campus Compact, University at Buffalo Dean of Undergraduate Education and the Siena College Research Institute. Fees are $40 for NYCC and WNYSLC Members, and $75.00 for nonmembers.
