Michael Rembis, Director of the UB Center for Disability Studies, and David Gerber, Director Emeritus of the UB Center for Disability Studies will speak on their research examining the lived experience and understandings of those involved in the process known commonly as "deinstitutionalization," the transition in the model of care for individuals with developmental disabilities from large institutions to decentralized residential homes and services.
