Invented over 300 years ago, the piano fascinated 20th century American composers like Henry Cowell and John Cage with its sonic possibilities. New York Philharmonic member and pianist Eric Huebner will demonstrate innovative techniques, such as playing inside the instrument and inserting small objects between the piano’s strings to alter its sound.
