Professionalism and Soft Skills Employers Want
Beyond your ability to meet standard criteria such as the right major or work experience, employers are most likely to look for evidence that that you are able to work in a team, have leadership abilities and have written communication skills. Evidence of problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic round out the top five soft skills employers seek on resumes, according to the 2012 survey conducted by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). This workshop will help you learn how you can develop these skills while you are at UB. You'll also learn how you can demonstrate these skills in your resume, cover letter and in job interviews. This workshop will be facilitated by a UB Career Services representative and a human resources professional from a local company. Register at: workshops.buffalo.edu.
