UB Symphony Orchestra
Nationalism and Music
The UB Symphony Orchestra presents its first Spring Semester performance in a program which celebrates the centennial and bicentennial anniversaries of four major composers, while exploring the issue of Nationalism in Music. The program will feature the first-ever Buffalo-area performances of 20th century Polish composer Witold Lutosławski's 1970 Cello Concerto (with UB Grad Student, T.J. Borden, as soloist) and Richard Wagner's 1871 "Kaiser March". This performance - as are all UBSO concerts - is FREE and open to the public. The 7:30pm concert will be preceded by a Pre-Concert Talk from the stage by UBSO Music Director, Daniel Bassin, at 7pm.
