Michelle Oosterbaan is a painter living in Philadelphia, PA. Her work investigates the psychology of space and color. More specifically, her installations key into the architecture’s sense of place, activated with a baroque and graphic sensitivity. Recently she held several residencies across northern Europe and later maintained a studio in Berlin. Oosterbaan’s artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues that include The Drawing Center, The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Museum. She was the winner of a 2008 Great Rivers Biennial Grant. Currently she is creating a piece for the Art on Paper 2012 Exhibition at the Weatherspoon Art Museum Art, Greensboro, NC.
