Race and Segregation in America: Continuities and Changes
Nancy A. Denton is Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology at SUNY Albany. She is the Director of the Developmental Core of the Center for Social and Demographic Analysis and Associate Editor of the journal, City and Community. Denton is co-author (with Douglas Massey) of American Apartheid: Segregation and the Making of the Underclass (Harvard, 1993), a major contribution to the understanding of systematic segregation of African Americans in the United States.
