Title: American Nursing: A History of Knowledge, Authority and the Meaning of Work Guest Lecturer: Patricia D'Antonio, PhD, RN, FAAN University of Pennsylvania, School of Nursing Patricia D'Antonio is a nurse, historian and the editor of the Nursing History Review, the official journal of the American Association for the History of Nursing. Her research positions nurses as absolutely central to the larger interdisciplinary histories of institutions, clinical practice, health care policy, and women's care work. In 2012 she received the President’s Award from the American Association for the History of Nursing. The lecture is FREE and open to the public though space is limited.
