Since its inception in 1973, the Physical Organic Minisymposium (POMS) has grown in breadth and reputation and now attracts participants from academic and industrial institutions in Canada and the Great Lakes/Midwest region of the U.S. POMS brings together academic and industrial scientists to present their research and exchange scholarly ideas during an intense weekend of science, with strong participation in the oral presentations by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The conference covers all areas of physical organic chemistry, including research with materials, biological and medicinal chemistry themes.
