Richard O'Brien's "The Rocky Horror Show" is famously known through the 1975 film, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." The UB production will feature a rock band live on stage and newly designed sets, lights, and costumes. The production will be directed and choreographed by Josh Walden. The show's music director will be Nathan R. Matthews. The cast for "The Rocky Horror Show" will be comprised of students from the UB Music Theatre and Theatre programs.

A humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror 'B' movies of the late 1940s through early 1970s, "The Rocky Horror Show" tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm. The couple seeks shelter in the home of a mad scientist who happens to be unveiling his new creation - a muscle man named Rocky Horror. The musical has since developed a cult following and was also adapted into the 1975 film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," which today has a worldwide cult following and has the longest-running release in film history.
