Testing Labs and Technical Facilities
Create and maintain product quality by using UB's specialized facilities and equipment to test your products. Fees are determined by the individual units.
Biological
Chemical
- The Chemistry Instrumentation Center offers mass spectrometry to identify, characterize and quantify chemicals, including failure analysis, isolation of components and product characterization. Clients include IIMAK, Multisorb Technologies, Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems and Kinex. Contact Alice Bergmann at Bergmann@buffalo.edu or 716-645-4120.
Material/Structural
- The Integrated Nanostructured Systems Instrumentation Facility supports nanostructured systems research, as well as related physics, engineering and materials research. Contact Mark Swihart at insdirector@buffalo.edu or 716-645-1181 regarding the following instruments and facilities:
- High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy Facility
- The Clean Room Facility
- Cryogenics Facility
- Electron Beam Lithography Facility
- Device Bonding
- The South Campus Instrumentation Center tests materials (including: metals, ceramics, microelectronics, dental implants, soil samples and archaeological items) for quality control and assurance, assisting with product development and testing. Pharmaceutical
- The Pharmaceutical Sciences Instrumentation Facilities are a combination of facilities (see following list) and researchers who perform biopharmaceutical analysis, working in the fields of pharmacodynamics, pharmacogentics/genomics, drug transport and metabolism, protein therapeutics and drug delivery. - The Proteomics and Biopharmaceutical Analysis Core helps shape analytical strategies in instrumentation, sample processing and data analysis.
