Ross Eye Institute
The Ira G. Ross Eye Institute is a new, collaborative enterprise committed to world class research, community service in ophthalmology and vision care, economic development through increased research grants, and training the next generation of WNY physicians. REI will diagnose and treat eye diseases, as well as provide prevention and rehabilitation services. Additionally, it will run educational programs for physicians and members of the Western New York community.
Namesake
The Ira G. Ross Eye Institute is named for the late husband of Olmstead Ross. Olmstead Ross was a noted ophthalmologist and 1939 alumna of the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
