Michael Hall (MICHL) - South Campus, Residential Sector
 | | |
Michael Hall
Edward Michael Hall is one of four matching buildings surrounding Kimball Tower that collectively formed the initial step of the university towards being a residential college Hall. Michael still serves as a residence hall, housing undergraduate students on its upper floors, but is also home to the
Student Health Center and the
Student Pharmacy. (Read more at the UB Archives.)
Namesake
At one time chair of the University Council's building and grounds committee, Edward Michael (1850-1951) served on the council for 50 years. He is credited with originating the idea to purchase the Main Street property for the university.
