BIG was created in 2014 to provide informatics and biomedical expertise to advance genomic medicine. The intentions are for BIG to become a community asset which provides operational resources to create innovation and new jobs among its partners and industry.

Committed to cultivating strong and sustainable businesses, TCIE connects the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with public and private businesses, enabling them to survive and thrive. TCIE provides results-oriented technical assistance, consulting and training for sustainable operational improvements.
For example, since 2004, UB TCIE has helped Aurubis Buffalo meet company goals with UB’s technical resources. TCIE’s operational excellence approach, through statistical analysis and Six Sigma training and consultation, is solving problems to save millions of dollars each year.

SPIR fills a critical gap in existing State industrial assistance programs by providing technically advanced multidisciplinary assistance, helping companies improve market posture, employee retention and job creation.
