About Mark Alnutt and Lance Leipold
Mark Alnutt has been UB's director of athletics since April 2018. He has over 18 years of professional experience in NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletics. Prior to UB, Mark was deputy director of athletics at the University of Memphis where he helped develop Memphis' $45 million NCAA Division I athletics program, assisted with leading its 380 student-athletes and oversaw all external operations for the the athletics programs. Under his direction, UB's athletics have continued to flourish and grow.

Lance Leipold is in his fifth season as head coach for the UB Bulls football teams. He led the team to a school-record 10 win season in 2018. That outstanding season, with a program-best 7-1 record in the Mid-American Conference, a MAC East Division title and a second trip to the MAC championship game, resulted in an invitation to the 2018 Dollar General Bowl, only the third bowl game berth in the program's history. The record breaking 2018 season was capped off when Lance was name the Mid-American Coach for the Year for that year.
