UB Volunteer Leadership Summit Program

All events take place in the UB Center for the Arts.

Thursday, May 11

8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.    REGISTRATION (Atrium)

Morning and Lunch

  • 8:45 a.m. – 11 a.m.   UB BUFFALO IMPACT BUS TOUR (Leaves in front of CFA; please arrive by 8:45 a.m.)
    • See Buffalo’s renaissance and learn about UB’s role in the growth of the region. Both out-of-town guests and longtime Western New York residents will learn something new on this professionally guided tour. 
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.   COFFEE CONVERSATIONS (Atrium)
    • Grab a cup of coffee, wander through an array of informational tables, and learn how you can get involved. Some of the participating programs include:

  • 11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. MEET AND GREET WITH SENIOR UB AND VOLUNTEER LEADERS (Lower Art Gallery)
    • Learn how volunteer leaders started their efforts, and how their experiences have made a difference in their lives and at UB. For individuals interested in networking with UB senior leaders and longtime volunteers.

Leadership Development: Led by UB faculty, these sessions aim to develop leadership and professional skills you can use in your professional and volunteer roles.


Discussion Group: A chance to discuss how alumni and volunteers strengthen the university. Designed for volunteers who want to step right in and take action.
