Supervising the UB Way

Designed for supervisors who are new to the University or recently promoted, this orientation will introduce you to UB management philosophies and policies. 

Presented in two half-day sessions, this introductory class provides the tools needed to be successful in your supervisory role. You will interact with other new supervisors and discuss various topics including coaching employees, organizational climate, managing performance and dealing with change. This class is offered at least twice a year.

Intended Audience

UB faculty and staff who supervise at least one other person and are new to the role of supervision at UB 

Prerequisites

Completion of a pre-training reading assignment (sent via email one week prior to class)
