Learn Basic Formulas in Microsoft Excel

Create formulas using basic math and built-in Excel functions. This class is designed for the seasoned Microsoft Excel user.

During this three-hour class, you will explore functions such as SUM, COUNT, IF and VLOOKUP. We will also explore categories such as AutoSum, Date and Time, Text, Logical and Lookup. This class is offered at least once a quarter.

  • Determine the appropriate operators for basic math formulas
  • Create formulas that will automatically update when data is created or modified
  • Understand function arguments and how they are used to properly perform calculations
  • Copy formulas and create consistency

UB faculty and staff

Prerequisites

Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and experience with creating, editing, formatting, saving and printing basic workbooks or, attended the Introduction to Excel class
