Together, we are staying informed

UB Employee Safe Return to Campus

UB employees are working tirelessly and collaboratively to keep our community safe and our operation running smoothly, while continuing to provide the best academic experience to our students in the safest way possible.

Employees are advised to check this page often for COVID-19 related protocols and practices that affect the UB workplace.

Returning to Campus?

To keep you and all our employees safe, UB is requiring that every employee verify that they are free of COVID-19 symptoms each day before entering our campus.

Protect Each Other Before Coming to Work Screening & Testing Safe Workplace HR Guidance Health & Wellbeing

As we return to our campuses in the midst of a pandemic, we must all follow these shared standards of behavior to reduce risk of spreading COVID-19.

Working Remotely or On Campus

  • Employees will be informed by their supervisors whether their work situation (work remote or work on-campus) has changed

Quarantine separates and restricts the movement of people who were or may have been exposed to COVID-19 to prevent spreading the virus.

Quarantine helps prevent spread of disease that can occur before a person knows they are sick or if they are infected with the virus without feeling symptoms.

People in quarantine should stay home, separate themselves from others, monitor their health, and follow directions from their state or local health department.

You should stay home for 14 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19.

UB recommends or requires quarantine in specific circumstances, as described below:

Daily Health Check

  • Mandatory health screenings for students, faculty and staff, and scheduled visitors (e.g., on-campus tour groups) who plan to visit or return to campus

If You're Feeling Sick

  • Not feeling well? Please take care and follow the advice below. Please do not report to work if you are sick. For help or to report a suspected or verified case of COVID-19, please contact:

COVID-related Absences

UB Health and Safety Guidelines - Employee Expectations

  • As we return to our campuses in larger numbers in the midst of a pandemic, we must all follow this shared set of behavioral expectations to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Contact your supervisor or UB Human Resources at 716-645-7777 for specific guidance regarding your personal work situation.
