Getting a UBF Procurement Card

Using a PCard to purchase a variety of travel and business-related items reduces time and cost for both you and UBF. You purchase directly from suppliers.


The requestor must have a current appointment at the University at Buffalo before a card can be issued. A new cardholder must attend cardholder training before receiving the card.

Applying for a PCard

  1. Complete the UBF PCard application for an American Express card.
  2. Print the form
  3. Sign the form
  4. Obtain the required approval signatures
  5. Scan a copy for your files if desired
  6. Mail the signed form to Procurement Card Administration, in care of:

UB Foundation physical offices at Center for Tomorrow (CFT) will be open 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Friday, however most staff continue to work from alternate off-campus locations.

All staff remain available, with most transactions able to be conducted via e-mail.

Allow 3 weeks for the card to arrive and receive notification from UBF.


Once UBF receives your PCard, you will be contacted to schedule a training session.  Training is a requirement for the issuance and usage of the PCard.
