Charging Your Time for the November 2014 Snow Storm

You are not required to charge vacation or holiday accruals, if you are eligible, to cover your absence on November 19, 2014.

You Are Eligible If You

   * Are non-essential staff
   * Did not call in sick on 11/19/14
   * Were not scheduled for vacation
   * Were not on pre-approved leave

The Governor's Office of Employee Relations notified UB this allowance was in light of the unique circumstances associated with the November 2014 snow storm.

Restoring Time

State-funded Employees

It is not necessary to re-do time sheets from November or the semi-annual time sheet.

  1. Add the snow day to your current time sheet.
    1. If you used vacation time, then add it to the vacation section.
    2. If you used holiday or another type, add it to that section.
  2. Write a note at the bottom of the time sheet stating the addition is for the snow day recovered from Nov. 19.
     

Research Foundation-funded Employees

  1. Add the snow day to your current time sheet.
    1. If you used vacation time, then add it to the vacation section.
    2. If you used holiday or another type, add it to that section.

UB Foundation-funded Employees

  1. Add the snow day to your current time sheet.
    1. If you used vacation time, then add it to the vacation section.
