New State Fringe Rates For 2021-22

The Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) has announced the updated fringe benefit rates for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Effective Date

These rates will go into effect for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.

Applicability

These fringe rates apply to personal service regular (PSR) and temporary service expenditures on the following types of accounts:

  • Income Fund Reimbursable (IFR)
  • State University Tuition Reimbursable Accounts (SUTRA) (NOT designated as summer session)

For SUTRA accounts designated as summer session the fringe rate is charged on revenue. 

Uses of Fringe Rates

  • Review account balances to ensure that there are adequate revenues to cover these costs.
  • Calculating the expenditures for PSR and temporary service appointments.
