Andrew M. Cuomo, Governor of the State of New York, has recognized June 19, 2020 as Juneteenth, which shall be a holiday for state employees.

How To Record the Holiday

  • Employees that are not required to work, shall be entitled to leave at full pay without charge to existing accruals.
  • State employees who are required to work, shall receive one day of compensatory time.
  • Research Foundation employees who are required to work, shall receive one floating holiday.

Please check with your deprtment supervisor as to your requirement to report to work on Friday, June 19, 2020. 

Additional information will be shared, once it is available, as to how employees will record their time in the time and attendance systems.
