The New York State and Local Retirement System (NYSLRS) has
introduced Retirement Online, a new website that members can
use to access and manage their retirement information online.
Retirement Online gives NYSLRS members a convenient and
secure way to review their benefits and conduct transactions in
real time. In many cases, members can use Retirement Online
instead of sending forms through the mail or calling NYSLRS.
With Retirement Online, members can:
- View benefit information
- Update contact information
- Manage beneficiaries
- Apply for a loan
- View current loan and service credit purchase balances
Retirement Online is also safe to use. NYSLRS has
incorporated several security measures similar to those used by

take a few minutes to create a new account.
When registering for an account, you’ll be asked a series
of questions to verify your identity. The questions are provided by
a trusted third-party source, and NYSLRS does not store the
questions or your answers. It is recommended that you use Internet
Explorer to access Retirement Online.
The distribution of the Member Annual Statements is expected to
begin mid-May and continue through mid-July. Beginning this year,
NYSLRS will mail Member Annual Statements directly to your home
address. Statements will no longer be sent to and distributed by
