Accessible On Campus Transportation
Accessible Campus Transportation
UB campus buses are accessible to people with disabilities, including wheelchair users. Please check the UB Transportation Schedules for pick up and drop off times and locations.
Parking Passes for Temporary Disabilities
Members of the UB community with short term disabilities who require accessible parking should contact Accessibility Resources (AR) to arrange for a temporary hangtag for a period of no longer than six (6) months. All requests for hangtags need to be supported by medical documentation in compliance with regulations of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
Clinicians can fax medical documentation to Accessibility Resources at (716) 645-3116. Documentation from the clinician should include information about the nature and the duration the disability, including a date when the temporary disability will end. Without a specific end date AR will not be able to issue the permit.
AR will also need to know the make, model and license plate number of the vehicle the permit is being issued for. The temporary hang tags are not transferable to other vehicles.
State Parking Permits
Permits issued by a state municipality for persons with disabilities are honored by campus Parking and Transportation. Information on the location of Parking for Persons with Disabilities can be found on the Parking and Transportation website.
