National Voter Registration Act
The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993 was created to increase voter registration by individuals who may encounter barriers when registering to vote. Accessibility Resources (AR) has been designated as a voter registration agency exclusively for UB students with disabilities. All students with disabilities who would like to register to vote in elections for local, New York State, and federal government can do so at our offices. If you are already registered to vote, you can change your registered mailing address (for example, if you would like to vote in Erie County while you're a student at UB) or request an absentee ballot through our offices. AR staff will provide assistance with completing the registration form as needed.
More information on the NVRA is available from the New York State Board of Elections NVRA .
