How does a football team follow up a season in which it brought home the program’s first conference division title? The answer to this question is three ESPN games.
On Tuesday, November 4—Election Night—the nation will be awaiting a decision on the next American president. At least for a few hours on this momentous day, however, UB hopes that viewers and fans throughout the country will focus their attention on the Bulls’ match-up with the RedHawks of Miami (Ohio) on ESPN2, the first-ever nationally televised game from UB Stadium.
Meanwhile, ESPNU will host two additional Buffalo games in 2008—road MAC games in Ohio on October 28 and in Akron on November 13.
UB’s homecoming is set for Saturday, October 18, against the Black Knights of Army. It will be the first time that Army suits up to play in Buffalo, and it is one of six home games for the Bulls, the most since moving to Division I-A in 1999.
Also in 2008, the Blue and White will compete in non-conference games in Pittsburgh on September 6 and in Missouri on September 20. On August 28, they will host the University of Texas at El Paso.
