New engineering building

Recent gifts to UB will support construction of a new building on the North Campus for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

A $500,000 gift from Ravinder K. Bansal and his wife, Pratibha Bansal, will be used for costs associated with construction of the building, which will modernize programs and facilities for the departments of computer science and engineering and electrical engineering.

Ravinder K. Bansal is chair and CEO of Buffalo-based AirSep Corp. Pratibha Bansal is medical director of Pain Rehab Center of WNY. In recognition of their generosity, UB will name the building’s atrium the Bansal Atrium.

Engineering alumna Gina Bronkie Hammond, MS ’73, vice president of Computer Sciences Corp. in Chantilly, VA, has made a generous gift of $150,000 in support of the new building. In recognition of her generosity, the university will name a computer science and engineering laboratory after her.
