Alumni from the Graduate School of Education came back to campus November 11 to share job search strategies and skills during a conference entitled “HIRE Education: Preparing for Your Future Career in Education.” The conference featured interactive panel discussions in two career tracks (“K–12 Teachers, School Counselors and School Psychologists” and “College/University Faculty and Administrators”) at which alumni fielded questions from students. Students also attended two one-hour sessions within each track on topics such as using your graduate experience to help find a job, résumé writing tips, successful interviewing techniques and advice on getting published.
