Robert F. Landel, MA 1951 & BA 1950, received the Charles Goodyear Medal from the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society in recognition for his contributions to the rubber industry. Landel is a former polymer physical chemist and is retired from CalTech Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He holds six patents and resides in Santa Cruz, CA.

James Rich, BS 1951, was elected president of the Romulus Foundation Inc., whose main function is to raise money so that underprivileged or handicapped children may visit the Buffalo Zoo. Rich lives in Williamsville, NY.

*Kenneth F. Jasnau, MSW 1955 & CERT 1954, was named Baldwin County volunteer of the year by the Milledgeville Mall and Hands on Milledgeville, a network that supports innovative volunteer approaches. The award recognizes his 30 years of volunteer service as executive director for Meals on Wheels. Jasnau resides in Eatonton, GA.

*Edward R. Szemraj, BA 1956, wrote and edited an article for The Polonian Legacy of Western New York, which focuses on the lives and accomplishments of four prominent Polish-Americans who left their mark on the greater Buffalo region. Szemraj lives in Amherst, NY.

Edwin Rosinski, EdD 1958 & EdM 1956, received the distinguished alumnus award from Buffalo State College. He served as the deputy assistant secretary for health manpower, U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, under President Lyndon B. Johnson. Rosinski was also the first educator hired by a medical school whose responsibility was to focus on improving medical education. He lives in San Francisco, CA.
