Travel the Alsatian Wine Road, through medieval villages and bountiful vineyards, sampling some local wine along the way. Returning to Germany, explore the resort town of Baden-Baden, nestled between the Black Forest and the Baden vineyards. Ride to Hei-delberg, site of Germany’s most famous university, and discover Romanesque Speyer Cathedral. Continue to Worms, center of Luther’s refor-mation, and Mainz, where the historic Gutenberg Bibles were printed. Finally, sail through the Rhine Gorge to Bonn, Beethoven’s childhood home.
