That is never going to come out

Since 1984, UB students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends have been cavorting in the mud in the annual Oozfest competition—a rite of spring and sometimes a rite of passage, too. Here an intrepid player crosses the field, creating a moment of sculptural elegance amid the slop. The 2006 contest was held on a splendid day in April at the Mud Pit on St. Rita’s Lane, attracting nearly 1,000 participants on 100 teams. Sponsored by the Student Alumni Board, Oozfest is billed as the nation’s largest collegiate mud volleyball tournament.
