Kimberly M. Jagodzinski, BA 1990, has been hired as a partner in Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP’s New York City office. Previously, she worked for the U.S. Department of Justice’s aviation and admiralty litigation section. Jagodzinski lives in New York, NY.

* Diane Ruszala, MBA 1990 & BS 1986, has been promoted to director of human resources at the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA). Most recently, she was manager of finance and administration for the NFTA’s metro division, and resides in West Seneca, NY.

Alicia Stanton, MD 1990, has opened a BodyLogicMD practice in Hartford, CT, making her the first woman to join its network. BodyLogicMD is a national network of anti-aging physicians offering programs and therapy to women and men suffering from menopause and andropause, respectively. Stanton lives in Long Meadow, MA.

* Ann Wegrzyn, MBA 1990 & BS 1985, has been named assistant vice president of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation. Most recently, she served as general manager of the company’s information services department. Wegrzyn resides in Orchard Park, NY.

Mario Accardo, BS 1991, has been named the lead engineer of final assembly and test systems for Ford Motor Company. He will oversee Ford’s first internally developed hybrid electric vehicle transmission. Accardo lives in Canton, MI.

David Burgio, BS 1991, was promoted to branch manager at Gilman and Ciocia’s newest office in Williamsville, NY. Previously, he was senior tax manager and financial consultant at the agency’s Clearwater, FL, office. Burgio resides in Orchard Park, NY.

Charles Eaton, BA 1991, has been appointed chief of staff to Rep. Brian Higgins (D-NY) of Buffalo. Eaton previously served as chief of staff to the Erie County Legislature and lives in Tonawanda, NY.

Roy C. Fazio, BS 1991, has joined CH2M Hill as vice president in Denver, CO, where he focuses on design-build and project development in the Water Business Group. He is also a licensed attorney in two states and resides in Broomfield, CO.

Tara A. Ellis, BA 1992, was named director of public relations at the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute. She was previously manager of the internal communications department at M&T Bank, and lives in Buffalo, NY.

Anthony J. Burgio, PMCRT 1993 & DDS 1990, was named income tax and financial consultant at Gilman and Ciocia. President of the Undergraduate Student Association while at UB, Burgio resides in Eden, NY.

Keith A. Watts, BA 1993, is a partner at Musick Peeler & Garrett, an Orange County, CA, firm with a market-leading labor and employment practice. Watts has also lectured around the country and lives in Mission Viejo, CA.

Don Bernier, MA 1994, has premiered his documentary, In a Nutshell: A Portrait of Elizabeth Tashjian, at Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo, NY. His film won a Crystal Heart Award at the Heartland Film Festival and was nominated for a 2005 Gotham Award by IFP-New York and Filmmaker Magazine. Bernier resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Randy Asher, BS 1995, was appointed interim-acting principal of Brooklyn Technical High School in Brooklyn, NY. Previously, he was principal of the High School for Math, Science and Engineering at the City College of New York. Asher resides in Staten Island, NY.

Alexandra Bourne, BA 1995, has formed the law office of Alexandra Bourne in Rock Hill, NY. Previously, she practiced law in both Manhattan and Orange County, NY, and served as a law clerk with the State Superior Court of Maine. Bourne lives in Rock Hill.

Jeffrey J. Calabrese, JD 1995, has been named partner at Harter, Secrest & Emery. He concentrates his practice in business litigation and is a 2005 recipient of the Rochester (NY) Business Journal’s “40 under 40” award. Calabrese resides in Rochester.

Craig D. Hannah, JD 1995, has been appointed a City Court judge by Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown. He has served as a prosecutor, defense attorney and municipal lawyer at various points in his career. Hannah is also a director of the UB Law Alumni Association and lives in Buffalo, NY.

Charles Marino, BS 1995, has been promoted to administrative vice president for M&T Bank Corporation. He resides in Lancaster, NY.

William Sabado, MSW 1995, has been hired as assistant director for group home services at St. Vincent’s Services Inc. in Brooklyn, NY. He previously served as court officer and law clerk at the 16th District Court and lives in Livonia, MI.

David S. Widenor, BA 1995 & BA 1995, has coauthored the commercial law section of the Syracuse Law Review, making this his third year as a contributor to the publication. Widenor is senior associate practicing in Damon & Morey’s business litigation and insolvency department. He resides in Buffalo, NY.

Teresa Brophy Bair, JD 1996, was named a member of Harris Beach’s business and commercial litigation practice group. She lives in Snyder, NY.

* Vincent Dunleavy, BA 1996, was promoted to marketing director at NBC Universal in New York, NY. In this position, he is responsible for developing emerging media marketing opportunities across the NBC Universal Television Networks. Dunleavy resides in New York City.

Tristan Anne Fuierer, PhD 1996, has been hired as associate at Moore & Van Allen’s Morrisville, NC, office where she will practice in the intellectual property group. She is a registered patent attorney and lives in Durham, NC.

Erik Vossler, BA 1996, has been appointed CEO of Venice Facilitators Inc. of Venice, FL. Previously, he was a contracted designer for Harn R/O Systems, designing reverse osmosis water treatment plants for more than 36 municipalities across the country. Vossler resides in Venice.

Kevin Baird, BS 1997, has joined the law office of Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz. He practices in the areas of intellectual property and corporate law and lives in Smyrna, DE.

Shawn Bennett, BA 1997, has been hired as associate director for the Harvard University School of Education in Cambridge, MA. He has also been elected to the executive board of the Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. Bennett resides in Cambridge.

Steven Dale, ME 1997, is the new chair of ASTM International Committee E20 on temperature measurement, a technical standards writing committee. Dale has received E20’s Robert D. Thompson Award and is a senior project engineer with Conax Buffalo Technologies. He lives in Williamsville, NY.

Christian Franklin, BA 1997, has been named partner for the law firm of Parrish, Houck & Snead in Fredericksburg, VA, where he focuses on civil litigation. He resides in Fredericksburg.

Patrick Moonan, BA 1997, has had his research published in several journals and is working as an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA. He lives in Cumming, GA.

Chethan Prabhu, MBA 1997, has been promoted to managing director at Synygy Inc. Previously, he was the firm’s software requirements director and resides in King of Prussia, PA.

* Deborah Bruch Bucki, PhD 1998 & MS 1978, was elected to the Town Board for Amherst, NY, and subsequently was named the town’s deputy supervisor. In 2006, she received the D’Youville College Alumni Service Award and the Am-Pol Eagle Citizen of the Year Award. Bucki, who has 30 years of volunteer experience in Western New York, recently completed terms as recording secretary for District One of the New York State Nurses Association and recording secretary for the Amherst Symphony Orchestra. She is a former member of the UB Alumni Association board of directors and resides in East Amherst, NY.

* Kenneth Fick, BS 1998, was promoted to manager at FTI Consulting Inc., a leading forensic and litigation consulting firm in Washington, DC. He specializes in damage analysis, security transactions and valuations. Fick lives in Annapolis, MD.

Heath J. Szymczak, JD 1998, has been named partner in the litigation practice group of Jaeckle, Fleischmann & Mugel. He lives in Java Center, NY.

Phil Mogavero, MA 1999, has joined the sales and marketing team of Azteca Systems as representative for the northeast region. Most recently, he was an independent consultant providing GIS services for Bergman Associates. Mogavero resides in Buffalo, NY.
