Yvonne Villano-Hassett, B.F.A. 2001, is the founder and artistic director of Absolute Dance Company, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Absolute Dance and based in Auburn, NY.

The company gives dancers a chance to work on enhancing their auditioning and performing skills by working directly with Villano-Hassett and various guest choreographers for performances held in the Central New York area. Villano-Hassett has trained with some of the finest dance instructors in the country and is an alumna of the Zodiaque Dance Company and Studiowerks Dance Company.

Because she places such a high value on arts education and experience, she has instituted a scholarship fund within the company for students pursuing careers in the performing arts. Money raised from ticket sales as well as sponsor and private donations constitute the scholarship fund. Villano-Hassett lives in Auburn.
