Kenneth M. Jones II, M.A. 1984
JHPIEGO trains and supports health-care providers, including doctors, nurses, midwives and health educators who are working in limited resource settings throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. Jones says he was always interested in math and finance, but really got a taste for it at UB, while pursuing his master’s degree in economics; his undergraduate degree is in psychology. While at UB, Jones spent three summers working with Upward Bound, a program that took 50 to 100 inner-city high school students and housed them on the South Campus to give them a taste of college life. Jones says he loves working for JHPIEGO, and is happy to be able to work in a job that combines nonprofit and finance work. He is a former director of finance and information technology for Pfizer and resides in Perry Hall, MD, a suburb of Baltimore. |
