Laura E. Cornwall, B.A. ’97, joined the Office of Alumni Relations in February 2004 as program coordinator for chapters to assist in the development and management of the Alumni Association’s 19 U.S. and 11 international alumni chapters.

In this position, Cornwall is responsible for coordinating, planning and assisting with chapter events and creating marketing tools. She will visit alumni outside Buffalo to recruit for chapter boards and leadership roles, along with other volunteer opportunities. Cornwall also works with UB’s Office of Career Services to enlist and train alumni volunteers for the Alumni Ambassador program, which seeks to recruit the best students to UB.

Before joining the alumni office, Cornwall was program coordinator for the Girl Scout Council of Buffalo and Erie County, where she was responsible for promoting scouting to community groups, schools, parents and businesses. In addition, she coordinated annual events and created a guidebook of Girl Scout and community educational programs to assist in retaining and growing membership. Cornwall is also a member of the Mortar Board Honor Society.
