According to RTI International president Victoria Francetti Haynes, Johnson has led the institute "to an unprecedented range of opportunities to help people in developing countries improve their lives." Internationally recognized for his work in urban infrastructure financing and municipal finance, Johnson specializes in systems of local government for democratic societies. His specific expertise lies in issues of revenue improvement, capital budgeting, municipal service performance improvement, and financial information systems for both small municipalities and major cities of the world. He has designed and implemented local finance and management projects for the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. Johnson resides in Chapel Hill, NC. |
