Clotilde Dedecker, Ed.M. 2000
Clotilde Dedecker, Ed.M. 2000, has been named cochair of the National Conference for Community and Justice’s (NCCJ) annual citation banquet. NCCJ is a human relations organization committed to fighting bias, bigotry and racism. The banquet, held in Buffalo, NY, in April, honored distinguished community leaders. Dedecker is executive director of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women. Previously, she served as president of the Association of Junior Leagues International, past president of Buffalo Prep and past chair of the Mayoral Council on Hispanic Issues. She has also been a trustee of the Buffalo Fine Arts Academy and the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. Currently, Dedecker is cochair of the U.S. National Committee for the United Nations’ international year of the volunteer, and serves on the board of directors of the NCCJ and the board of the National Association of Commissions for Women. Dedecker is a founding member of the Western New York Women’s Fund and Women’s Volunteer Roundtable, and has recently been elected to the board of the National Women’s Hall of Fame. Additionally, Dedecker has worked as a teacher and freelance translator. She lives in Buffalo, NY, with her husband, Adrian, and two children. |
