People of Note
Janice M. Mitchell, B.A. 1982, is the lone female performer
in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame's Class of 2000. She sings
every Wednesday night with the Jim Beishline Trio at the Buffalo
Marriott Hotel. She also performs with the local group the Morvells.
Previously, she performed as a Raylette, a backup singer for
Ray Charles; sang with Stevie Wonder; and has toured with other
national acts.
