Go Get
Help!
Rita
Lipsitz
There’s
a wonderful story about Ten Eyck Perry, who taught history. Ten Eyck
must have been 6'5". He was one of the tallest guys, and he was as thin
as a rail. One winter day, when he was older, he was crossing the campus
and he fell. He waited for two undergraduates who were nearby, and when
they came up to him, he said to one student, “Go get help.” And to the
other one he said, “Lie down and keep me warm.”

Lipsitz received her B.A. in history and government from UB in 1946
and was administrative assistant to the chair in the English Department
from 1979 to 1997.
