Sesquicentennial Fourth of July Celebration
This year's annual fireworks extravaganza at UB's Baird Point is sponsored by the Town of Amherst and Bee Group Newspapers as a salute to the university's 150th birthday. The Amherst Saxophone Quartet will perform at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Erie County Wind Ensemble at 8:30 p.m. Fireworks get under way at approximately 9:45 p.m. Rain date is July 5, also at Baird Point.
